Item Description
From the find in the late Fall of 2011. This is a great specimen from the most famous Tourmaline locality in Pakistan. I have seen many Tourmaline specimens from Stak Nala for many years and the one characteristic of that many of them lacked was decent color. The crystals on this piece feature several colors ranging from thin colorless ("Achroite") areas at the terminations, into a very thin soft pink hue, then into a rich emerald-green color, then a very dark forest-green (virtually black) shade. To top it off, the crystals are associated with beautiful Albite var: Cleavelandite and are sitting on gemmy Quartz matrix. The prism of the Tourmaline is rather lustrous for the material, and the termination is JUST as lustrous, which is NOT common for these crystals. The piece is repaired, and very aesthetic for the material.
