Item Description
From the a find in the late Fall of 2005 in Pakistan. This is a very nice specimen from the most famous Tourmaline locality in Pakistan. I have seen many Tourmaline specimens from Stak Nala for many years and the one characteristic of that many of them lacked was decent color. The crystals on this piece feature several colors ranging soft baby pink hues, to bright greenish-yellows to dark olive-greens and very dark green (nearly black) shades at the base of the crystals. I really like the fact that the crystals vary in the amount of the color present as some have more pink, and others have more green. To top it off, the crystals are associated with a beautiful "flower" of Albite var: Cleavelandite flaring off the side. The prisms of the Tourmalines are rather lustrous for this material, but the terminations are just as lustrous, which is NOT common for these crystals. Very gemmy in areas as well. This is a great display piece and a wonderful pegmatite specimen from a classic locality. These piece are becomingly increasingly difficult to find in today's market.
