Item Description
This piece was part of Brian Kosnar's personal collection from when he was a teenager. It features a sharp, prismatic, multi-color crystal with a colorless "Achroite" cap which grades into a beautiful blue-green color, with olive-green edges, and a jet black core and base of Schorl. The crystal is sitting atop porcelain like, lustrous Albite matrix. o top it off, the termination on the crystal is very attractive showing modifying r (10 1 1) and e (10 1 2) rhombohedral faces along the pinacoid. It requires good backlighting to see the color, but it's there to be sure, and good crystals on matrix from Stak Nala are few and far between these days. Valued at $700.
