Item Description

Unlike Afghanistan, Pakistan isn't known for a lot of superb Tourmaline crystals. With that said, the premier locality in Pakistan for Tourmaline is Stak Nala. For decades now this storied locale in the Haramosh Mountains has produced some of the most eye-catching and singular Tourmaline crystals extant. This miniatures sized specimen features a pair of sharp, well-formed, gemmy, multi-colored crystals measuring up to 3.6 cm sitting atop bladed white (iron stained) Albite matrix. The crystals both features colorless "Achroite" basal terminations (though one of them has much more colorless zoning than the other), which transition into a rich yellow-green hue, and ends with a very dark green (virtually black) color throughout the rest of the prisms. A third Tourmaline crystal can be seen on the back, and although it might appear to be broken, you can see it's recrystallized ("re-healed") upon close inspection. A classic example of these beloved Tourmalines.
