Item Description

This is a nice specimen from the most famous Tourmaline locality in Pakistan. I have seen many Tourmaline specimens from Stak Nala for many years and the one characteristic of that many of them lacked was decent color. This crystal features several colors ranging from a nearly colorless "Achroite" termination with a very thin and rarely seen violet purple region just below, that grades into a soft blue-green shade and gives way to dark olive-greens and very dark green (nearly black) shades at the base of the crystal. To top it off, the crystal is associated with a beautiful "flower" of Albite var: Cleavelandite flaring off the side. The prisms of the Tourmalines are rather lustrous for this material, but the terminations are just as lustrous, which is NOT common for these crystals. Very gemmy as well. A wonderful little pegmatite specimen from a classic locality. These piece are becomingly increasingly difficult to find in today's market.
