Item Description
From the a find in the late Fall of 2005 in Pakistan. This is a very nice specimen from the most famous Tourmaline locality in Pakistan. I have seen many Tourmaline specimens from Stak Nala for many years and the one characteristic of that many of them lacked was decent color. The crystal on this piece features several colors ranging from a beautiful pink hue at the termination, to a nearly colorless zone, which grades into a bright greenish-yellows to a dark olive-greens shade at the base of the crystal. To top it off, the crystal is associated with a small amount of white Albite var: Cleavelandite flaring off the base. The prism of the Tourmaline is rather lustrous for this material, but the termination is just as lustrous, which is NOT common for these crystals. This is a nice little display piece and a good pegmatite specimen from a classic locality. These piece are becomingly increasingly difficult to find in today's market.
