Item Description
From the new find in the late Fall of 2005 in Pakistan. This is a very nice specimen from the most famous Tourmaline locality in Pakistan. I have seen many Tourmaline specimens from Stak Nala for many years and the one characteristic of that many of them lacked was decent color. These crystals feature several colors ranging from a minor blue ("Indicolite") zone at the termination to a thin colorless ("Achroite") area, then into a rich emerald-green color, then a very dark forest-green (virtually black) color. To top it off, the crystals are associated with beautiful "flowers" of Albite var: Cleavelandite flaring. The prism of the Tourmalines are rather lustrous for this material, but the terminations are just as lustrous, which is NOT common for these crystals. This is a great little display piece and a wonderful pegmatite specimen from a classic locality. These piece are becomingly increasingly difficult to find in today's market.
