Item Description

This piece hails from a discovery in 2005 at the famed Stak Nala Tourmaline locality in Pakistan. While Afghanistan has the majority of the top gem Tourmaline deposits, Stak Nala is certainly the most well-known Tourmaline locality in Pakistan, producing distinctive and beautiful crystals. This is a really attractive multi-color specimen featuring several colors ranging from a beautiful pink termination ranging into a light yellow-green color, then into a slightly darker brownish-yellow color, then a very dark olive-green color. There are few white Albite (var: Cleavelandite) crystals aesthetically flaring off the base of the specimen. Rarely do you see crystals from this locality with pink terminations like this one. This is a great display piece and a wonderful pegmatite specimen from a classic locality
