Item Description
Despite the fact that Afghanistan has produced some of the finest Tourmaline crystals in history, neighboring Pakistan really doesn't have nearly the amount of Tourmaline deposits. With that said, the most famous Tourmaline locality in Pakistan is Stak Nala, well-known for producing beautiful multi-color crystals, often associated withe Quartz and Feldspar. This piece features a pair of wonderful, sharp, lustrous, gemmy polychrome Tourmaline with colors ranging from a colorless "Achroite" hue on the terminations into very rich blue-green zones, then into a soft greenish-yellow hues, and concluding with darker green and black shades. The crystals are sitting on white bladed "flower"-like aggregates of Albite (var: Cleavelandite). The largest Tourmaline measures 2.4 cm. Found in 2009, it is a great example of what makes Stak Nala Tourmalines so popular. Priced in the inventory at $1,250.
