Item Description
An eye-catching, three-dimensional group of good quality, sharp, lusrous, gemmy prismatic Tourmaline crystals which show a beautiful blue hue throughout most of the prisms, but one of the sidecar crystals shows a strong "Indicolite" blue on the basal termination, and a bit of a golden hue near the base. The piece mostly shows blue tones and really looks great with little to no backlighting. For the most part, the specimen is in fairly good shape, but the termination on the largest crystal does have a few tiny imperfections, but it's still terminated. Somewhat hard to photograph, and better in person! Fun to view up close. From the collection of Rolando Gioia (a contributor to new definitive book on Brazilian minerals: "Minerais e Pedras Preciosas do Brasil").
