Quartz can occur with a wide variety of included minerals. One of the most popular and abundant of this material is the Tourmaline included Quartz from Brazil. This "Pear Cabochon" cut gem hosts a few opaque, black, thin Tourmaline prisms which are suspended inside of the colorless Quartz.
