Item Description

This tourmaline rises dramatically against a "nest" of quartz that anchors it , and really presents a nice geometric contrast as well. It is a classic Pech style of multicolored tourmaline, with a changing pastel array of colors, and each crystal has a slightly different palette as well. It is just somehow elegant and soft looking in a way, as if it is nestled in the contrasting white quartz. This piece, amazingly, has no repairs - unusual in pieces of this size from here. The terminations are perfect, and it presents spectacularly on a shelf because light goes through both the tourmalines and the quartz, from behind. This is a significant combination piece from the Gene Meieran collection.
