Item Description
Here we have an attractive small cabinet size fine pink and green bicolor crystal group with attractive pyramidal terminations, glassy luster and superb gemminess at the tip. I've backlit the piece to show the beautiful clarity and vibrant green color at the termination. The rest of the crystal actually is fairly gemmy as well, which does not show up as well as I would have liked in the photos. Afghanistan has truly produced some of the most attractive Tourmaline specimens around for the last 25 years or so, and they have really held their own against Tourmalines from other world localities. The crystal is complete all the way around, and very attractive in person. There is an indentation on the termination, which is NOT damage, but an interrupted growth. It is becoming more and more difficult to obtain superb quality Tourmalines from Pech for decent prices, as the locals seem to be charging more and more for them after each new find. Valued at $1500-$2000 retail.
