Tourmaline (GEM) on Albite (ex Arnaud Collection)

Item Description

Here we have a beautiful single crystal of GEM quality pink Tourmaline with sharp, GLASSY, slightly etched faces and good saturation sitting on a big bed of bladed white Albite (var: "Cleavelandite") matrix. Truthfully, the piece could be trimmed down to balance the crystal against the matrix, but all of the Albite crystals are complete and beautiful, so that's probably why it was never trimmed in the first place. The Tourmaline crystals is in excellent shape, and would make a nice addition to any Tourmaline suite, a gem crystal collection, or a cabinet sized mineral collection. Classic material and great quality from the standpiont of luster, gemminess and color. Ex J. Arnaud Collection.
