Item Description

A VERY RARE and aesthetic, old-time combination from this historic New York locale. A striking jackstraw jumble of splendent, jet-black, well-striated, trigonal tourmaline crystals (either dravite, uvite or very rare schorl) is dramatically accented in the front with two, sharp, hexagonal, translucent, colorless, fluorapatite crystals, to 6 mm (yellow fluorescence), and a field of RARE pearlesent muscovite plates. The tourmalines reach 2.3 cm. A couple broken tourmalines and lightly bruised terminations are noted, but have very little impact on the exceptional quality of this significant New York rarity from an East Coast collection. A MUST for the species or locality collector! Value??
