Tourmaline (excellent for locale!)

Item Description

A striking, big, fat tourmaline from the Cryo-Genie Mine, with an amazing multi-peaked termination. The gemmy and lustrous, super-striated crystal is a translucent bright green, and these glassy terminations are stepped at different levels to create the most striking, cliff-like, aesthetic effect. There is even a bit of classic pink at the base. Complete all-around and nearly pristine, contacting on the back has very trivial bruising, overall. The underlit photo really highlights the beautiful color saturation and gemminess. The crystal glassiness is high. Found in the early 2000's, this is a very rare example of a well- terminated tourmaline from this small mine (now defunct). Mass is 101 grams. Valued at $900-1000.
