Item Description

A lot of people think of Tourmalines when it comes to the Gillette Quarry, and this piece is a good example of said material. This is a lovely reference Tourmaline from Haddam Neck. It features a 1.3 cm, sharp, thin, somewhat lustrous, gemmy, blue-green crystal with a rare bright yellow termination which is sitting flush against the matrix which consists of a partial dark Smoky Quartz crystal. Yellow is a rare color when it comes to Tourmalines, but Haddam Neck produced a fair amount of them. A nice specimen of this rarely seen material from Connecticut.
