Item Description
Tourmalines have come out only in a trickle over the years from this Russian mine. Few of them are this fine, and a crystal of this size and quality would be priced right around $1,200 - $1,500 DIRECT FROM THE RUSSIANS, if you can meet them early enough before a show to get it. This DOUBLY-TEMINATED crystal shows superb gemminess, a fine termination, and super luster. What is more, the coloration is exquisite, blending cranberry and golden tones. It has internal scintillations characteristic of many of the lighter-colored examples of Malkhan tourmaline, sort of like the ones inside imperial topaz. Super! Weighs 26 grams. (ex. Jaime Bird Coll.)
