Item Description
A fabulous specimen of wonderful, deep green stepped tourmaline,this was known in the old Brazilian gem trade as classic "verdelite," or green tourmaline. This has great luster and a glassy aspect to the surfaces. This specimen lights up nicely when backlit and has a different saturation than most Brazilian green tourmalines, really rich and evergreen-like. The termination is intact with contact along the bottom. Specimen mass is 24.7g. Probalby an older specimen, as these have not come out in many years.
