Tourmaline (doubly-terminated) with Quartz (ex Brian Kosnar Collection)

The famous Himalaya Mine is renowned for producing some of the most iconic Tourmalines from any locality in the United States, and arguably the world. The beautiful specimens with their iconic color and aesthetic specimens makes them highly desirable for collectors. This piece is a lovely multi-terminated group of sharp, lustrous, gemmy pink prisms with an associated partial crystal of nearly water clear Quartz flaring off the side. The Tourmaline group is actually doubly-terminated, and if you look closely at the bottom, you can see a tiny sliver of a light blue shade. I can't say for sure which pocket this piece is from, but I'm certain that there are Himalaya experts out there who would know. No damage that I can see, outside of the fact that the Quartz crystal is incomplete. This is a fine representative gem crystal specimen from this historic locality. Valued at $900.
