Item Description
An attractive doubly-termianted "floater" group of prismatic Tourmaline crystals from an undisclosed locality in Minas Gerais, Brazil. The pyramidal terminations on the piece shows a rich greenish-blue color which transitions into an opaque black through the rest of the prisms. There is a slight preferential coating of light beige Cookeite (?) to create a lovely two-tone effect. I can see a couple tiny nicks, but the piece is in great condition. There is no true "display" side, as you can rotate several directions, and it looks great any way you choose to display it. The weight of the specimen is 66.58 grams. From the collection of Rolando Gioia (a contributor to new definitive book on Brazilian minerals: "Minerais e Pedras Preciosas do Brasil").
