Item Description

This mine has produced some of the most famous Tourmaline specimens in the world. This is a very attractive specimen with featuring the classic pink hue that one would expect from a good Himalaya Tourmaline. Along with being good sized, the piece is doubly-terminated (both crystals have both terminations) and is studded with a few lavender "Lepidolite" (no longer a valid mineral species) groups for a pleasing effect. The entire specimen (including the terminations) has a excellent luster, and the overall quality of the piece is very good with wonderful gemminess, bright color, and only a few slight "rubs" - not really damage, but incomplete growth - on the sides of the prisms. A very cool and colorful multi-crystal specimen from one of this renowned U.S. locality. Valued at $2500 retail.
