yellow-cap Tourmaline - cut gem (85.7 carats)

A large bicolor gem, showing what SEEMS to be a pink/green dichroism. But it is actually even more interestingthis is cut from the 2007 pocket of really amazing, novel, yellow-capped crystals that came from this mine. When lit on the long axis, the cap is yellow, not peachy-red as it appears at first from the front! I have not seen a gem cut from any of those tourmalines, and this is most unusual. While not clean of inclusions, it is a really unusual color combination, good size, and nicely cut. 85.7 carats
