Tourmaline (classic material)

Item Description

A classic and not often seen specimen of Tourmaline (possibly Dravite) from the famous locality at Power's Farm, Pierrepont, New York. The piece features the well known trigonal stout crystal form with the beautiful lustrous smooth faces that made these some of the most well known Tourmalines (especially opaque Tourmalines) in the world. The main crystal is good sized for the locality. The piece is labeled only as Tourmaline, but I firmly believe this is a Dravite, as the vast majority of these specimens are Dravite. A must have for any fan of Tourmalines or minerals from the East Coast.
