Item Description
Green Dunton Mine tourmalines from the famous 1972 find are a US classic. The gemmy and lustrous, well-striated crystal has the classic sea-green hue with intense saturation in the upper section, that is renowned for this find. The base of the crystal is light green. The terminated crystal is complete all-around. The back of the termination is notched and contacted, from where a attached feldspar once was, but is undamaged and not broken. Some further contacting is noted lower on the back, but is out of sight. This is a classic, highly representative and desirable example from this famous find. Ex Russell Jones Collection. 20 grams. MUCH, MUCH BETTER IN PERSON!! Valued $1000-1250
