Item Description
Chrome Tourmaline is some of the most colorful examples of Tourmaline in the world. The deep green hues seen in these stones are quite similar to Tsavorite Garnet in my mind. The presence of chromium in these gems, although minute, is a strong enough chromophore to creatie some vivid colors. There were crystals of this material on the market years ago from Tanzania, but rarely were they clean enough to cut stones. The stone is has some slight inclusions with an "Oval Brillant" cut. A really attractive Tourmaline gem and certainly special on a worldwide level, as you don't see many chrome-bearing Tourmalines out there.
