Item Description

An excellent and classic 98 gram tourmaline crystal from the Little Three Mine, which strikingly includes a nifty purple lepidolite and cleavelandite crystal corsage on the termination. It is very glassy, lustrous, well-striated and has good form. The matte finish, lightly pitted termination is very dark green or black. The crystal is complete-all-around and pristine. As is typical for the locality, this one is olive-green. The crystal has a sharp, 6 mm gemmy zone in the middle, as the backlit photo highlights. Old material, from the 1970s. Ex Pala International Company/Bill Larson San Diego County Collection and was for many years on display at the Fallbrook store.
