Item Description
It's hard enough to match stones for rough and cut sets, but to match up biicolor material is even harder. Tourmaline is one of the few minerals in the world that occurs in natural bi-color crystals, and this set features a lovely gem and crystal from Afghanistan, one of the most productive Tourmaline producing countries in history. The "Oval Cabochon" cut gem has a nearly 50/50 split of color with a greenish-blue hue on one end, and a nearly colorless area on the other side. The crystal is a doubly-terminated beauty with strong blue colored "caps" on both ends and a very pale blue (nearly colorless) zone in the middle. A fantastic set for any fan of Tourmalines, and it would make a great addition to any rough and cut collection. Priced in our inventory at $1,500 retail
