Item Description

Tourmalines are some of the most diverse and popular gems out there. They're one of the few gems that occur in natural bi-color stones as well. The majority of bi-color Tourmalines on the market today are from Afghanistan, and remain as some of the most attractive in the gem world. This gem shows a beautiful glowing green hue throughout most of the stone, but one end has a slight yellow zone, making this a highly coveted bi-colored Tourmaline. There are a few slight inclusions, but this is par for the course for Tourmaline as the material is classified as a "Type 3" gemstone. This means inclusions are almost always present, and accepted by dealers and collectors. I have to say that these stones are becoming harder and harder to find these days and they are facing competition with so many gem Tourmalines coming out of Africa lately. A great naturally occurring bi-color gem for your collection. It's important to note that there are not many natural bi-color gems out there, and Tourmalines not only continue to increase in popularity, but in value as well, as we have seen the price increase nearly every year for the last decade.
