Item Description

Tourmalines are some of the most diverse and popular gems out there. They're one of the few gems that occur in natural bi-color stones as well. The majority of bi0color Tourmalines on the market today are from Afghanistan, and remain as some of the most attractive in the gem world. This gem shows a light pink color on one end and a pastel green color on the other end. One of the most impressive aspects of this gem is the fact that it is nearly eye clean, which is significant for Tourmaline as the material is classified as a "Type 3" gemstone. This means inclusions are almost always present, and accepted by dealers and collectors, so when you find a clean stone like this, especially a bicolor gem, it's a real treat. I have to say that these stones are becoming harder and harder to find these days and they are facing competition with so many gem Tourmalines coming out of Africa lately. A a great naturally occurring bicolor gem for your collection. It's important to note that there are not many natural bi-color gems out there, and Tourmalines not only continue to increase in popularity, but in value as well, as we have seen the price increase nearly every year for the last decade.
