Item Description
Tourmalines are beloved in both gem and mineral world, largely for the fact that they are among most colorful stones out there (you can find them in every color of the rainbow). Another fairly unique aspect of Tourmaline is that it's one of the few gems that is found in naturally bi-colored / multi-colored stones as well. Here we have a very attractive bi-color Tourmaline gem from Brazil with a gorgeous pink hue on one end, and a saturated blue-green shade on the other end. The stone is 100% natural, no heating or treatment of any kind. Some people label these as "Watermelon Tourmaline" because of the pink and green combo of colors, but others will argue that a TRUE example of "Watermelon Tourmaline" is a polished slice showing a green exterior and pink interior section. This "Emerald" cut stone has some visible inclusions in between the two color zones, but keep in mind that Tourmaline is classified as a "Type-3" gemstone, which means that inclusions are almost always present, and accepted by dealers and collectors, so this stone is about par for the course for a lot of Tourmalines.
