Item Description

Tourmaline is not only one of the most colorful gems, it's one of the few stones that is found in naturally occurring bi-colored (and sometimes multi-colored) examples. This gem is a beautiful bi-color green and blue Tourmaline gem from Brazil. The stone is 100% natural, no heating or treatment of any kind. About 3/4 of the stone is a rich blue color, and the other 1/4 is a deep green hue. It has an "Oval Brilliant" cut with some visible inclusions, but that's perfectly acceptable, because Tourmaline is classified as a Type-3 gemstone, which means that inclusions (even small ones) are typically present, and accepted by jewelers, collectors and dealers, so the inclusions in this gem would not be as frowned upon as they would in another stone. The stone weighs well over 7 carats, which makes it a larger-than-average Tourmaline and it has a beautiful combination of colors.
