Tourmaline (bi-color)

Tourmalines are one of the few gems that are found in naturally bi-colored or multi-colored examples. In fact, Tourmaline might be best known for this fact. This gem is a little bi-colored beauty from Afghanistan featuring a soft pink hue on one end, and a light green color on the other. The stone is virtually eye-clean, with a standard "Rectangle" cut. For reference, the pink hues in Tourmaline are most often due to the presence of manganese, and the green hues are most often caused by iron content.
