Item Description
When it comes to crystals and specimens of Tourmaline, Pakistan is typically outshined by the piece from nearby Afghanistan. With that said, there are a handful of Pakistani locales that have yielded some attractive Tourmalines, including recent finds at Chhappu, which is not typically known for its Tourmalines. This piece came from a small pocket a couple years ago. and hosts a attractive yellow-green colored, gemmy, prismatic crystals of Tourmaline associated with a lone gemmy, colorless, hexagonal crystal of Quartz and chalky white blocky Albite crystals. The main Tourmaline group measures 2.7 cm, and the crystals are slightly "bent" which is not unheard of in Tourmalines, as the crystals can often bend depending upon geological conditions in the pocket, but it's certainly rare in the mineral world as most crystals do not feature this phenomenon. The Quartz crystal measures 2.2 cm long. A showy and desirable specimen from a fairly hard to find locality in Pakistan.
