Item Description

Tourmalines are certainly among the most popular species for collectors, and no matter how many one encounters, a good one will always draw attention. This beautiful crystal has a striking color combination with a gemmy colorless ("Achroite") "cap" which gives way to a stunning teal/blue color that mixes into black at the base. One side of the crystal shows a slight "cat's eye" effect along the prism faces when rotated in the light. There are a lot of Tourmaline crystals on the market from all over the world, but this one is different along with being eye-catching. To the best of my knowledge, the find of these crystals was very limited and I have not seen any of them available from the Pakistani dealers for quite a while. An unusually colored and attractive gem crystal. This could make a nice addition to any locality for the unique color combination.
