Tourmaline is one of the most popular colored stones in the world. They are incredibly diverse in terms of color, as you can find a Tourmaline in virtually any color of the rainbow, and they also occur in completely colorless and jet-black stones as well. This particular stone has a beautiful deep blue-green color with a lovely "Pear Brilliant" cut. The most impressive aspect of this stone is that it is only very slightly included ! Tourmaline is classified as a "Type 3" gemstone, because inclusions are almost always present, and accepted by dealers and collectors, so when you find a stone like this, it's impressive. I have to say that the price of good Tourmalines is on the rise, and we're seeing Tourmalines selling for higher prices per carat in virtually every color.
