Tourmalines are beloved by dealers and collectors for their intense colors in various shades. Nigeria has produced some top quality Tourmalines for many years, including some of the finest gem grade Rubellite to come out of any country. Here we have a lovely pink Tourmaline with excellent color for the size. The stone is very very slightly included with a glowing hue and a "round brilliant" cut. The color is quite saturated and attractive for the size. Fine Rubellites can retail for over $500 per carat on the high end gem market. It should be noted that this material seems to have dried up in recent years, and good gems with the fiery pink color like this stone are becoming much more difficult to find these days.
