This killer cluster of tourmaline crystals is from the Virgem de Lapa area, known more for topaz than for tourmaline. It is complete all around and has excellent, glassy luster to it. When backlit, the tops just glow a riveting forest green color. The 3-dimensional geomtry is really interesting and visually makes the piece look bigger than it really is, to my eye. It was obtained from well-known dealer Carlos Barbosa, in Brazil, in April of 1976.
