Tourmaline

This is a totally gem pencil of tourmaline from this important locality, which Steve told me came out in the 1980s. The green cap on it is striking, as it comes so unexpectedly and without gradient. The crystal was marked $280 on his label, which comes with it, but I think this too cheap and value it more like $400-500. Most of us think of this mine for the etched green-and-pink crystals which it is famous for, but this is a different, and somewhat earlier find.
