Item Description

Afghanistan has been supplying the western market with remarkable Tourmaline specimens for over 30 years now, and this beautiful multicolored gem crystal is no exception. It is an excellent, sharp, gemmy, glassy, striated trigonal prism with notable pink hues at the base, that transition into varying shades of green and even colorless in the upper portions of the crystal, and grades back into pink at the termination! An attractive and richly colored Tourmaline from what is one of the premier countries in the world for the material. The crystal is nearly pristine save one tiny spot on the back of the termination. Tourmalines have been and remain to be some of the single most popular minerals among collectors and dealers alike, and with color and clarity like this, it's very easy to see why. Priced at $1800.
