Item Description

A striking, steeply pyramidal complex termination highlights this deceptive trigonal parallel-growth tourmaline from the famous pegmatites of Barra do Salinas. The lustrous crystal, with highly striated prism faces, appears to be a black schorl under most lighting conditions. BUT - back lighting reveals, that most of the crystal is a beautiful gemmy bottle-green! Complete all-around and pristine. 33 grams mass. Classic color Barra do Salinas tourmaline.
