Item Description
A beautiful, old-time, crystal group of alluringly rich green colored Tourmaline with good internal gemminess and glistening luster on all sides. The long, defined striations run the length of the specimen and just glow with a bright reflective surface. The terminations are complete and very attractive with a narrow pyramidal form. The back of the crystal has a separation mark where another Tourmaline once grew, but the front/display side of the piece is in great shape. The overall size combined with the striking color, excellent quality and glossy faces make a very desirable and eye-catching gem crystal specimen of this classic material from the Santa Rosa Mine. The weight is 27.2 grams.
From the collection of world famous mineral dealer Richard ("Rich") A. Kosnar (1946-2007), who was the namesake for the phosphate Kosnarite. Rich started his mineral career by importing many fine gem crystal specimens from Brazil in the 1970s.
