Tourmaline (11.54 grams) (ex Rolando Gioia Collection)

Item Description

A gemmy, richly colored Tourmaline specimen from an undisclosed locality Brazil. A sharp, lustrous, striated prism that actually shows distinct color zoning ranging from notably black to brownish hue at the upper portion of the crystal to a distinctly green tone, and ending with a with slightly "cat's eye" silvery color at the base. The trigonal termination is complete and nearly undamaged (only a couple TINY nicks I can see with the naked eye). Weight of the specimen is 11.54 grams.
