Tourmaline

Item Description

A beautiful multi-colored Tourmaline specimen from the famous Pederneira Mine, where some of the most iconic Tourmalines have been found over the last few decades. This piece is a showy and fine quality multi-crystal specimen with a rich cranberry colored Rubellite hue on the termination, which grades into a soft greenish hue and more of a blue shade throughout the lower portion of the specimen. Some small purplish "Lepidolite" groups can be seen near the base of the piece. There is a separation mark on the upper portion of the piece where another Tourmaline crystal once grew, but it's not broken, just an interrupted growth. The piece is UN-repaired, which is not terribly common in these crystals, as many of them are found broken and have to be glued back together. Classic material from this prestigious Tourmaline-producing mine. Specimen weight is 20.1 grams.
