Item Description

Rich grass-green, tetragonal, tabular torbernite crystals with sharp beveled edges, to 3 mm, are peppered on the large blocky rhyolite matrix and are starkly contrasted with the VERY RARE rich coating of lustrous black goethite botryoids from this well-known extinct Nevada Cu-As-Au-Pb-Mo-Ag-Sn-U mine. The mine has produced outstanding copper and tin secondary mineral specimens. See the 1985 Mineralogical Record article in Vol. 16, No 1. A classic, rich and showy EXTREMELY RARE large older uranium and goethite combination from the well-known Majuba Hill Mine. He had many examples of this material and others from Majuba in his collection, leading us to believe he self-collected them.
