Torbernite

A classic specimen dating back to the 1960s-1970s, when the greatest specimens of Torbernite were coming out of the central African copper belt mines. When it comes to collector quality examples, these superb specimens are some of the most desirable examples from any locality, and only a handful of good pockets were ever found. These are now modern classics and seldom seen in today's market. This miniature specimen features beautiful rich green colored clusters of Metatorbernite beautifully sitting on the underlying matrix. The largest crystals measures about 5 mm on edge. No major damage, and the crystals looks nice up close. Overall, it's a good quality example of this rare material. I do not believe any great pockets have been found since the 1980s.
