Item Description
A true classic from New Hampshire. Sharp, well-formed, translucent, soft blue color crystals of Topaz measuring up to 1.0 cm are associated with Smoky Quartz on bladed Albite (var: Cleavelandite) matrix from the Government Gravel Pits locality. Matrix specimens are nearly impossible to find as most specimens we've seen over the years are loose single Topaz crystals off matrix. Don't miss out if you collect pegmatite specimens, U.S. minerals or specifically minerals from New Hampshire. Valued at $ Ex Kay Robertson Collection (#8772). Kay is a prominent California collector, who specialized in European classics (see the article in the March-April, 2007 Mineralogical Record and the 50+ page article in the German Magazine "Mineralien Welt" November-December 2017).
