A hard to find and very attractive gem crystal thumbnail specimen consisting of a sharp, well-formed nearly colorless, but very GEMMY euhedral crystal of Topaz measuring 1.3 cm, and associated with an equally GEMMY, pale sherry colored, prismatic Smoky Quartz crystal. No real damage to speak of, save a tiny nick on the Quartz termination. Chaffee County is home to famous gem crystal localities like Mt. Antero, and Mt. White but rarely does one find a matrix UN-repaired Topaz from anywhere in Colorado, espeically a lesser known prospect like MIddle Mountain. This piece came to us priced at $695.
