Item Description
Three pale green Topaz crystals grace this small plate of ivory colored Microcline Feldspar crystals on this small cabinet piece from the Erongo Mountains in Namibia. The pale seafoam green crystals are 2.6, 1 and 0.6 cm in maximum dimension, respectively. All three display a glassy luster and are gemmy to translucent, with well developed prism, pinacoid and pyramidal crystal faces. The two on the upper left are sharply formed and undamaged, the isolated one to the lower right grew against a Feldspar crystal that is now absent. The piece is well composed and and matrix pieces from this locality are not common. Ex. Shields and Frances Flynn collection.
