A striking and aesthetic topaz and smoky quartz combination from the famous Klein Spitzkopje. The 5.6 cm topaz is absolutely GEM-clear and has a beautiful, sharp, chisel termination. These are called "silver" topaz from here. It is dramatically set in the side of a terminated smoky quartz crystal. Scattered edge wear and a ding on the side of the topaz are noted, along with bruising to the smoky. This remains a showy, highly representative example of the desirable combination species from this noted locale. Valued by the former dealer at $595.
